Ingredients
500 g. peeled garlic
2 cups white vinegar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
1–2 teaspoons cloves
(Optional) hot pepper or bay leaves
How to prepare
Peel the garlic, wash it well and drain it.
In a saucepan, put the water, vinegar, salt (and sugar if used) and bring to a boil.
Add the cloves and let it boil for 1 minute.
Place the garlic in a sterilized glass jar.
Pour the hot liquid over the garlic until it is completely covered.
Seal the jar tightly and leave it in a cool, dark place for 10–14 days before consuming.
